A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Rally-X is a 2D maze chase arcade game developed for the GBA as part of the CS 2261 assignment, featuring enemy cars that chase, random item and obstacle spawns, and special smoke barrage abilities!  

Your car's gas pedal is stuck, but that's the least of your concerns! You must collect all 10 flags in 2 maps, all while avoiding 3 enemy cars chasing you and dodging rocks that block the road! Your fuel is also slowly running out, so you gotta be fast! Use the smoke barrage to shake off your chasers, but beware — it increases your fuel usage!

Manual

  • Press the corresponding START key to begin the game
  • Press the corresponding A key while in game to unleash a smoke barrage
  • Pressing START while in-game will pause the game. Press START again while in this phase to resume
  • Pressing START while in the win or lose screen will return you to the main menu
  • Use the corresponding LEFT, RIGHT, UP, and DOWN keys to move the car

Install instructions

This game was developed for the GBA. As such, either a physical Gameboy Advance or an emulator will be required to run the game. To run the game on a Windows or Mac device, install the mGBA emulator. Then, open the .zip file through the emulator.
