JayBall
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
JayBall is a 2D recreation of the classic JezzBall for the GBA as part of the CS 2261 assignment, where you must enclose the bouncing ball in a small space without it hitting the line that you draw! This project explores the basic depths and limitations of the Mode 3 bitmap mode on the GBA.
Manual
- The menu screen displays text "Press Enter To Start", press the binded START key to begin the game
- When not drawing a line, press SELECT to pause the game
- When paused, press START to resume the game
- Use binded UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, to draw lines
- Avoid the ball and trap it in a container smaller than 625 pixels
- Upon winning or losing, press the binded A key to restart to main menu

Install instructions
This game was developed for the GBA. As such, either a physical Gameboy Advance or an emulator will be required to run the game. To run the game on a Windows or Mac device, install the mGBA emulator. Then, open the .zip file through the emulator.
